We are excited to announce a new position for a UXO Consultant to join our team. This role will be pivotal in establishing a new team dedicated to UXO risk management, supplementing our existing ground investigation services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting UXO risk assessments, managing intrusive investigations, and implementing effective mitigation measures. This position requires a thorough understanding of UXO-related risks and the ability to provide expert guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Stage 1 and Stage 2 UXO risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Plan and execute intrusive investigations to locate and assess UXO.
- Develop and implement mitigation measures to manage UXO risks effectively.
- Provide on-site supervision and support during UXO clearance operations.
- Conduct watching briefs to monitor and manage UXO risks during groundworks.
- Deliver toolbox talks and training sessions to educate site personnel on UXO safety.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Working on construction related projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a UXO Consultant in the ground investigation industry.
- In-depth knowledge of UXO risk assessment methodologies and mitigation techniques.
- Strong understanding of relevant UK regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant certifications and training in UXO risk management and clearance.
- Drive and ambition to grow the new team.
- Ideally 5+ years experience
