Due to continued growth and success our sister company Landmark Surveys is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underground Utility Surveyor to join our new team based in Sussex.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underground Utility Surveyor to join our team. As a Senior Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing and conducting underground utility mapping activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors, ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Duties

– Conduct underground utility surveys using various surveying equipment and techniques

– Prepare and review survey reports, maps, and legal descriptions

– Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure surveying requirements are met

– Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior surveyors

– Manage surveying projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting

– Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

– Maintain accurate records of survey data and documentation

Skills

– Extensive experience in underground utility surveying, including the use of radiodetection equipment and GPR.

– Proficient in the use of surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors

– Strong knowledge of underground utility principles, practices, and techniques

– Excellent understanding of legal requirements related to underground utility surveying

– Ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications

– Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software for drafting and mapping purposes

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
