Project Description

Land Science were engaged by structural engineers to carry out a geotechnical and contamination investigation in connection with a proposed barn conversion. Ground conditions were anticipated to comprise Dyrham Formation (siltstone and mudstone). Although dynamic (windowless) was proposed to a target depth of 6m, these were in practice driven to refusal upon bedrock. The investigations comprised a desk study, the aforementioned dynamic sampling, soakage testing, geotechnical testing and waste classification. A fully interpretive ground investigation report was prepared.
